The fine print, kept short.
Effective November 6, 2026. These terms apply to every rental, delivery, beach set-up and bonfire from The Beach Store and More. Questions? Call (904) 310-6124, every day 9 to 7.
Cancellations and changes
48 hours or more before your rental starts: cancel and we refund 75% of what you paid. Moving your dates is free.
Less than 48 hours before: no refund. Reserved gear is held for you and turned away from other customers, so please call as soon as your plans change.
To cancel or reschedule, call (904) 310-6124 or email FletcherBeachStore@gmail.com. The time we receive your call or email is the time that counts.
Weather
Bonfires: if we have to cancel for weather or a county burn ban, you choose another night or a full refund.
Beach set-ups: if the day is a washout we call you in the morning, skip the set-up, and you are not charged for that day. Pop-up showers are part of the beach; the umbrella works for those too.
Bikes, e-bikes, boards and chairs: rentals go out rain or shine. If a storm closes the beach, call us and we will work with you.
Payment
A valid credit card is required for every rental, along with a signature on the rental agreement. Delivery and pick-up at the store are the same price.
Rental periods and returns
4-hour rentals are pick-up only and due back within four hours, before we close at 7 PM.
Daily rentals are due back by 5 PM on the final day. For delivered gear we come to you; be sure everything is out and ready. Running late? Call us before 5 PM and we will sort it out.
Taking care of the gear
You are responsible for the gear while it is in your care. Lock your bike whenever you step away (every rental includes a lock), keep e-bikes out of the surf and the rain overnight, and rinse sand off anything that has been on the beach. Lost, stolen or damaged items are charged under the rental agreement.
Bikes and e-bikes
- Florida law requires every rider under 16 to wear a helmet. Helmets are free with every rental, in kids' sizes too.
- E-bike riders must be 18 or older, one rider per bike. Our e-bikes are Class 2 and fully street-legal.
- Ride sober, obey traffic laws, and follow the posted rules on the beach and in Fort Clinch State Park. Cruisers are welcome on the sand; e-bikes stay on roads and trails.
- Child seats, tag-alongs and trailers are available for cruisers for $5 a day; ask us to fit one when you book.
Beach bonfires
- Offered November 1 through April 30, after sundown, on Nassau County beaches where fires are permitted. We handle all permits.
- We set up, light, and clean up. You and your guests are responsible for staying with the fire and keeping children at a safe distance.
- Up to 6 people are included; additional guests are $10 each. For groups over 10 we recommend booking two fires.
Beach set-ups
Chairs and umbrellas are set up by 9 AM unless you ask for another time and taken down around 6 PM. Tell us where you will be when you book and we will have everything waiting on the sand.
