Ours go up to 60 miles on a charge. Most competitors cap out around 30, which is one trip to Fort Clinch and back.

Riders under 16 must wear a helmet under Florida law. We carry helmet sizes for every kid, and helmets are free with every rental.

Amelia Island is one of the few places in Florida where you can ride right on the beach, and our cruisers are built for it. At low tide the packed sand runs for miles: roll out of the store, cross Fletcher, and you're pedaling along the ocean with no cars in sight.
Whether you're solo, a couple, a family or a group, we have a bike to fit. Our single-speed cruisers come in 20", 24" and 26" sizes to fit almost anyone, and for those too young to pedal we add a child seat, tag-along or trailer for $5 a day.
Off the sand, you're close to Egan's Creek Greenway Nature Trail, historic downtown Fernandina Beach, Fort Clinch and the Amelia River to Sea Trail.

Pedal-assist cruisers with the longest range on Amelia Island: up to 60 miles on a charge, where most rentals cap out around 30. That's the whole island in a day, Fort Clinch to the south end and back, with no range anxiety. We'll walk you through the controls before you roll out.

How the set-up service works →
Add $10 per person over 6. We bring the fire pit, firewood, a chair for everyone, a table, a trash can, a Bluetooth speaker, four tiki torches and the s'mores. We light it, you enjoy your 2-hour bonfire, and we come back to put it out and clean up. After you book we call to pick the beach access that's most convenient for you.

Nothing ends a beach day like a fire on the sand. We set it up for you, so there's no hauling wood, no scrambling for a lighter, and no cleanup. We even bring the s'mores. You bring the people.
Bonfire season is November 1 through April 30. Sea turtles nest and hatch on our beaches the rest of the year, so no fires are offered May through October. Fires are also subject to local burn conditions.
Surf it, ride it, or stand on it.
Surfboards for the adventurers, body boards for everyone else, and stand up paddle boards for calm mornings on the ocean or a glide along the Amelia River. Every board is cleaned and sanitized after each rental, and the gear comes with it: a leash with the surf and body boards, a paddle and safety gear with the SUPs.

A 4-hour rental is pick-up only and comes back within four hours, before we close at 7 PM. A 1-day rental comes back before 5 PM the next day, so you can keep it for the sunset and the sunrise.
Yes. Bikes, e-bikes and boards are the same price picked up at the store or delivered to where you're staying on the island. Chair and shade combos have their own delivery and set-up-on-the-beach rates.
Yes, every day. We deliver bikes, e-bikes, boards and chairs to the Omni hotel, the Ritz-Carlton, Summer Beach, and the villas and vacation rentals throughout Amelia Island Plantation on the south end of the island, and we pick everything up when you're done, for the same price as walking into the store. We have gate access, so there's nothing to arrange at the entrance: tell us where you're staying when you book and we'll call to set a delivery time. The Plantation's shaded bike paths and the beach along the resort are some of the best cruising on the island, so you can ride straight out of your door.
Yes. Biking on the beach is allowed on Amelia Island, and our cruisers handle the sand well. Go at low tide when the sand near the water is hard-packed, rinse the bike at the store when you're back, and give pedestrians the right of way. E-bikes stay on the roads and trails.
A helmet, a lock and a storage bag. We'll fit the bike to you and, for e-bikes, walk you through the controls before you ride off.
Bonfires depend on local burn conditions and the forecast. If a burn ban is called or the weather won't cooperate, we'll call you as soon as we know and either move you to another night or refund you in full. Your choice.
Yes. Our cruisers come in 20", 24" and 26" sizes, and for the little ones we add a child seat, tag-along or trailer to any bike for $5 a day. Florida law requires every rider under 16 to wear a helmet, so we keep helmet sizes to fit your young one's head, included free. E-bikes are for riders 18 and up, one rider per bike.
A credit card on file for every rental, and a quick signature. That's it.
Cancel at least 48 hours before your rental starts and we refund 75%. Inside 48 hours there's no refund. Bonfires we cancel for weather or a burn ban are refunded in full. Call (904) 310-6124 to cancel or reschedule.

We are two minutes from the sand, and we carry everything you need to get there: beach cruisers and e-bikes, chairs and umbrellas, surf boards, body boards and paddle boards, along with snacks, sunscreen, tees and shark teeth.
Walk in any day and you can ride out without a reservation. If you would rather not come to us, reserve ahead and we will deliver bikes, e-bikes and boards to your rental for the same price as pickup. Every bike comes with a helmet and a lock, including sizes for kids. If you want the easiest beach day possible, book a set-up and we will have your chairs and shade on the sand before you arrive, and in the evening we will build your bonfire, bring the s'mores, and clean up when you are done.
All of our gear is cleaned after every rental, and a real person answers the phone every day from 9 to 7. If anything goes wrong, call us and we will make it right.

Excellent customer service and communication. The delivery and pickup service was extremely convenient and seamless. The bike with the child seat was perfect for our 1 year old. The other bike had a trailer which fit our 5 year old and 3 year old perfectly. Each had a storage pouch attached to the handle bars. The bikes were in great condition and everything was as expected. Thank you!
The Beach Store provided excellent service & bike rentals! We rented two for a three day span - they delivered & picked up saving the hassle of doing so yourself! The bikes were quality bikes and proved to be a beautiful way to explore the island! I would highly recommend taking the Fort Clinch State Park road in to explore the fort!
This shop is the best bike rental place and souvenir shop in this entire area! The owner is extremely nice and accommodating as well. We come here often to rent bikes and he always goes out of his way to be helpful. I highly recommend this business!
