How delivery works at the Omni and the Plantation
Pick a morning (before 9 AM) or evening (after 5 PM) window when you book. We have gate access, so there's nothing to arrange at the entrance. Most villas and buildings in the Plantation have bike racks: we lock your bikes there and sort the lock by phone, or hand them to you directly in the evening if you prefer. When your rental ends, leave the bikes locked at the rack and we collect them.
Delivery costs the same as pickup at the store, with a one-day minimum. On a three-day or weekly rental the daily cost drops well below walk-up pricing, and the bikes are yours the whole stay: ride at sunrise, ride to dinner, no returning them at closing.
Riding from the resort
Amelia Island Plantation has about seven miles of paved paths under the live oaks, past the golf courses and marsh out to Drummond Point and Walker's Landing. Our bikes are welcome on them, and unlike the resort's own rentals they can leave the property: through the beach walkovers onto the sand at low tide, north on the Amelia Island Trail toward Peters Point and the state park, and on an e-bike all the way to historic downtown Fernandina Beach, about an hour of marsh and oak canopy with lunch on Centre Street at the end.
Chairs and shade go to your door or, with the set-up service, straight onto the beach in front of the resort each morning and off again each evening: a flat $50 a day, no service charge, no minimum order, and we run it every month of the year, including the winter months when resort beach services close. Bonfires in season (November through April) are set at the closest permitted county beach access to where you're staying; the south end is county beach, so it's close.
Eat and drink nearby
PLANTD Juicery for smoothies and bowls after a morning ride, and the Marsh View Bistro at the Omni for a sunset drink over the water. Downtown is worth the trip, and on an e-bike it's an easy one: The Patio on 5th, the Salty Pelican for the rooftop, and Mezcal for tacos.
Questions from south-end guests
Do you deliver inside the gates at the Omni and the Plantation?
Yes. We have gate access to the Omni Amelia Island Resort and Amelia Island Plantation, so there's no meeting at the entrance. Tell us the property and unit when you book and we call to set a time.
Is delivery to the south end extra?
No. Delivery is the same price as pickup at the store, with a one-day minimum. Multi-day rates apply the same way.
When do you deliver and pick up?
Mornings before 9 AM or evenings after 5 PM; you choose the window when you book. At the end of your rental, leave the bikes locked at your building's rack and we collect them, or hand them to us in the evening.
Can our bikes leave the resort?
Yes. Ride the Plantation paths, the beach at low tide, the Amelia Island Trail north to Peters Point and the state park, and on an e-bike all the way to downtown Fernandina Beach. Every bike comes with a lock.
Do you deliver to the Ritz-Carlton and Summer Beach?
Yes, every property on the south end: the Omni hotel, the Plantation villas and vacation rentals, the Ritz-Carlton and Summer Beach.
Can you set up chairs on the beach by the resort?
Yes. The set-up service covers the south-end beaches: two Tommy Bahama chairs and an umbrella standing at your spot before you walk out, taken down each evening, $50 a day.
Can we have a bonfire near the Omni?
In season, November 1 through April 30, yes. The south end is Nassau County beach, where fires are allowed after sundown, and we set yours at the closest permitted access to where you're staying. We handle the permit, the fire, the s'mores and the cleanup.
Do you have kids' gear?
Child seats, tag-alongs and trailers for the cruisers, $5 a day, and helmets in every size. E-bikes are for riders 18 and up.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 48 hours before your rental starts and we refund 75%. Inside 48 hours there's no refund. Call (904) 310-6124 to cancel or reschedule; moving your dates is free with 48 hours' notice.
