The Omni Amelia Island Resort and the villas and vacation rentals throughout Amelia Island Plantation sit on the quiet south end of the island, about fifteen minutes from our store on Fletcher Avenue. You don't need to make the drive. (Prices, booking buttons and the short version are on our Omni & Plantation delivery page.) We deliver bikes, e-bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas, boards and bonfire set-ups to the resort and every property in the Plantation, every day, and we pick everything up when you're done.
How delivery works
Book online or call, tell us where you're staying, and pick a morning or evening delivery window. We have gate access, so there's nothing to arrange at the entrance. Most villas and buildings in the Plantation have bike racks: we lock your bikes up there and sort the lock code by phone, or hand them to you directly in the evening if you'd rather. When your rental ends, leave the bikes locked at the rack and we collect them.
Delivery is the same price as pickup at the store, with a one-day minimum. If you're staying three days or a week, the multi-day rates bring the daily cost well under walk-up pricing, and the bikes are yours the whole time: ride at sunrise, ride to dinner, no returning them at closing.
What guests here book most
E-bikes. The Plantation is big, and the island is bigger. With up to 60 miles of range, the longest on the island, an e-bike takes you from your villa to historic downtown Fernandina Beach and back without a car and without breaking a sweat. Class 2, street-legal, riders 18 and up. We also have the best e-bike prices on the island; compare and see.
Beach cruisers. Single-speed, built for the sand and the paved paths. Child seats, tag-alongs and trailers are $5 a day for the kids, and every bike comes with a helmet, a lock and a storage bag.
Chairs and umbrellas. Tommy Bahama chairs with 7-foot umbrellas or Solbello wind shades, delivered to your door. Or book the set-up service and we'll have them standing at your spot on the beach each morning and gone each evening.
Boards and bonfires come too: surf, body and paddle boards delivered with all the gear, and bonfires set up after sundown, November through April, at the closest permitted county beach access to where you're staying.
Where to ride from the Plantation
Inside the Plantation, the shaded paths wind under the live oaks past the golf courses and marsh; it's the easiest, prettiest cruising on the island. Head out through the beach accesses and ride the sand at low tide. For a longer loop, the paved Amelia Island Trail runs from the Plantation's edge north along A1A, and from there an e-bike makes downtown Fernandina an easy ride: an hour of marsh, beach and oak canopy, then lunch on Centre Street. Our guide to riding on the beach covers tides and where the sand is firmest.
Eat and drink: a local's list
On the south end, PLANTD Juicery for smoothies and bowls after a morning ride, and the Marsh View Bistro at the Omni for a sunset drink over the water. Downtown is worth the trip, and on an e-bike it's an easy one: The Patio on 5th, the Salty Pelican for the rooftop, and Mezcal for tacos.
Quick answers
Do you deliver inside the gates at the Omni and the Plantation?
Yes. We have gate access, so there's no meeting at the entrance. Tell us the property and unit when you book.
Is delivery extra?
No. Delivery to the south end is the same price as pickup at the store, with a one-day minimum.
When do you deliver?
Morning (before 9 AM) or evening (after 5 PM). Pick the window when you book and we call to confirm the exact time.
How do I return the bikes?
Leave them locked at your building's bike rack at the end of your rental and we collect them. Or hand them to us in the evening; either works.
Can you set up chairs on the beach by the resort?
Yes. The set-up service covers the south-end beaches: chairs and shade standing before you walk out, taken down each evening, $50 a day for two chairs and an umbrella.
Can we do a bonfire down here?
Yes, in season (November 1 to April 30), after sundown, at the closest permitted county beach access. We handle the permit, the fire, the s'mores and the cleanup.
